This Privacy Policy describes how Synclytics handles personal information collected through our website, our correspondence with you, and our products. It also explains the rights you have over that information and how to contact us if you have a concern.

Who we are

This policy is issued by Synclytics Pty Ltd (ABN 50 695 264 781, ACN 695 264 781), the company behind synclytics.tech and the products offered through it: the Operational Intelligence Platform and Operator Metrics. We are based in Perth, Western Australia.

In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Synclytics Pty Ltd. "You" means any individual whose personal information we hold.

Scope

This policy explains how we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). We comply with the APPs regardless of whether the small business exemption under the Privacy Act might otherwise apply to us.

It applies to personal information we collect through:

The information we collect

We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act), and we do not collect personal information from children.

How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you when you:

We do not buy contact lists and we do not obtain personal information from data brokers.

Why we use it

We use personal information to respond to your enquiries, to deliver and support our products, and to meet our obligations under customer contracts. We also use it internally to improve those products and to comply with applicable laws.

We do not use personal information for direct marketing. If that ever changes, we will obtain your consent first and include an unsubscribe mechanism in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

When we share it

We require our service providers to handle personal information consistently with the APPs and to use it only for the purpose for which we engaged them.

Where it is stored

We use cloud infrastructure to store and process personal information. Where practical we keep customer data on infrastructure located in Australia. Some service providers we rely on operate from other jurisdictions, including the United States. When personal information is transferred overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it in a manner consistent with the APPs.

How long we keep it

We retain personal information for as long as we have a relationship with you, plus the period required to meet our legal, tax and contractual obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or take reasonable steps to de-identify it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include:
